Investigative Reporting

Investigative Reporting has two primary goals:

1. Reporting: Creating a summary of events and total losses for a given set of filter criteria.
2. Investigating: Creating a set of events which share common attributes to use for predictive analysis.

Press the Summary Reports toolbar button to set the filters for this function. The first filter criteria form is shown below:

To set additional parameters, press the More... button on the first form. The second filter form is displayed:

In the above form, the State/Province selection was set to "Kentucky". The summary report listing all event related to Kentucky is shown below.

Various functions are provided by the buttons at the bottom of this form:

• Print the report
• Create a text file containing the data from the report.
• Automatically generate an email containing the text from this report (Using Microsoft Office Outlook).
• Display a geographic map of the locations in the report. Sample road map:

  

  Note that all the locations containing valid addresses are displayed together on the same map. The above example was cut to minimize space requirements.
